More 18th birthday celebrations

Hello everyone

This is the card I made for my son's 18th birthday -

I used -
  • black, white and grey core'dinations
  • black glitter card
  • Crafter's Companion chevron embossing folder
  • Sara's signature collection - Just for men pop dotty embossing folder
  • Sheena's Timetraveller perfect partners geared up dies
  • Tonic chevron number 1 and striped number 8

I used the outer die from both number dies to cut the numbers.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge -

Turning to teens

Good morning folks

Today sees the start of my half term holidays and I am hoping to get some crafty me time this week. My son is celebrating his 18th birthday at the end of the week too and my garden is in need of some TLC so it is promising to be a busy week. Lets hope I can fit it all in.
Today's card is one I made for my god-daughter's 13th birthday. She isn't a girly girl so I am hoping that this hit the right tone, pretty (not too pretty) and a little grown up -
I used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens to colour the whole card and I was very pleased with the results.
I used -

  • Sheena's stamping card
  • Neenah white stamping card
  • matt black card
  • blue core'dinations
  • Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens - inspired violet, aquarmarine, amethyst, starry sky, crystal clear and onyx black
  • Sheena's perfect partners dragonfly dance stamp and die set
  • Tonic Chevron number 1 and spotted number 3 dies
  • pearl swirl from Creative Expressions
  • sentiment from Crafter's Companion Inspirations magazine

I created the background using the Sparkle pens which I scribbled onto a glass mat, spritzed with water and blotted with a piece of Sheena's stamping card.
I coloured the numbers in a similar way to the background but added onyx black to the edges and then blended with the crystal clear pen.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge -

Triple thanks

Hello folks

These weekends certainly come around quick don't they? But then again so do Monday mornings.... I hope you have all got exciting plans for the weekend. I am off to see Strictly live which I am really looking forward to. I do hope Ed Balls does his Gam gam style!! I will let you know.
Today's card is one I made using Tattered Lace's Tri fold shaped card die -
I used all the dies in the set mainly to see how they cut (perfectly of course) and I also used -

  • Tattered Lace tri fold card die
  • cream centura pearl card
  • teal centura paper
  • Die'sire Thank you die

I think I should have shadowed the sentiment die cut to make it clearer to see.
I think I need to add a bow to the right hand side just to finish the card off. What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by today. Enjoy your weekend.

Stylish steampunk

Good morning folks

Once again I have neglected my blog. In my defence I have been very busy with some DT work which I can't wait to share with you. But I will have to wait a little while to do that so today I am sharing a card I made recently -
I bought this steampunk die with some money I had for Christmas from Tattered Lace and this is it first outing.
I have used -
  • black, white/hint of silver and platinum centura pearl
  • Tattered Lace steampunk hat and nested chains die sets
  • Crafter's Companion's clocks embossing folder
  • Sheena's Timetraveller cogs die set
  • Tattered Lace sentiment die
I cut the hat die twice and then paper pieced the platinum centura pearl dies and cogs onto the black base.

Thank you for stopping by today.
