More paisley parade

Good Sunday morning folks

The sun is shining, paddling pools and BBQs are in use and my poor cats are melting in their furry coats. Summer, and the promised heatwave, has arrived. I tend to hide in doors until about 4pm and then venture out into the garden so today I'll be in my craftroom enjoying cooler temperatures.
This is a card I made a while ago just because.......
I have used -

  • white/hint of silver centura pearl
  • Paper Flowers paper pad from First Edition
  • Tattered Lace Paisley Parade interlocking circles
I matted and layered the die cuts and used foam pads to add depth. I haven't added a sentiment yet, I could use this card for quite a few occasions so I will add a suitable sentiment when I need to use the card.

Enjoy the sunshine and remember that suntan lotion.

Making time

Good morning

Today is the last day of my half term holiday. I have had a very busy week and am looking forward to heading back to work. The final term is always good fun, lots of trips and fun activities now all the testing has finished.
This is a card I made for a friend's birthday -

Once again I have looked for inspiration on Pinterest and it is thanks again to Sheena's Inkoids for their fabulous designs. For my card I have used -
  • Sheena's stamping card
  • ground expresso, brushed corduroy and hickory smoke distress inks
  • clocks embossing folder from Crafter's Companion
  • Pebeo king gold gilding wax
  • Sheena's time traveller make time stamp and die sets
  • brads from Do-crafts
I inked the clock stamp with the different distress inks and then used a little water and a paintbrush to pull out some of the colour.
The background was made using the distress inks which I embossed when dry and then added a little gilding wax to the raised areas.
I used matt black card and gilding wax to make the cogs.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Thinking of you

Hello folks

Yes I am back...... I have been crafting too which makes me happy. Since my departure from the Spectrum Noir design team I have struggled with my mojo. Being told that my samples were not upto scratch was a huge blow but I have got back on my feet, dusted myself down and am ready to go back into the crafty world again.
In order to try and boost my mojo, I have hit the crafty shops and websites hard (no good for my bank balance but super for my crafty stash!) and today's card features one of my recent
purchases -
This is a gatefold card and here is what I have used -

  • white/hint of silver centura pearl
  • teal core'dinations
  • Tattered Lace floating in the air square surprise die set
  • Tattered Lace ornamental thinking of you die
  • pearls and white organza ribbon from my stash

This is a 8 inch square gatefold card which was very simple to make.
Inside of the card.

That's all from me today. My ironing basket is beckoning (I am desperately trying to ingore it but my wardrobe is empty) so wish me luck as I go off and tackle the mountain.
Enjoy your day
