Geared up

Hello folks

Yet another glorious bank holiday here in the Northwest of England but unfortunately my hayfever is troubling me today so I am staying inside. It is also half term week as I am back to work next Monday as schools open their doors to pupils in year 6 and year 1. Not quite sure I am fully confident in the governments view that such young children can socially distance and that the adults are in no danger. The feeling of being a guinea pig is quite strong!!
Anyway enough of this nonsense lets all go to our happy place - crafting. I made this birthday card for my Father-in-laws recent special day -
For this card I have used -
  • matt black card
  • white stamping card
  • gear up, some assembly required and nuts and boltz stamp sets -  all from Hobby Art stamps
  • Distress Inks - hickory smoke, ground espresso, brushed corduroy and walnut stain
  • Copic pens - C3, C5, C7, 100 and T3
  • glossy accents

I added glossy accents to the pipe work and metal panels to make them appear a little more life-like.
I stamped the pipework directly onto the base card first and then stamped all the pieces again, coloured them, cut them out and then decoupaged them onto the base card.
I had great fun playing with these stamp sets and can see them being brought out for lots of male cards.

Thank you for stopping by.

CAS happy birthday

Good morning folks

How are we all doing? Enjoying this fabulous weather we are once again having in the UK? We have been having great fun in the sun at work; lots of water, sand and treasuring hunting.
Today's card is one of those tricky male cards so I kept it nice and simple -
For this 6x4 card I have used -
  • stamping card  and matt black card (both from Crafter's Companion)
  • Gemini happy stamp and die set
  • Gemini fancy florals stamp set
  • Spectrum Noir Harmony quick dry inks - honey pot, Chinese red and ocean blue
As I said nice and simple.

Thank you for stopping by.

Happy everything

Good morning folks

How are we all doing? I am getting ready for work tomorrow by doing some ironing (yuck) but this afternoon I am hoping to do a little crafting to relax a little.

For this card I have used -
  • AALL & Create stencils - broken circle and totally dotty
  • AALL & Create stamps - squared dots, reverse dots, thankful petals and moody kittens
  • Copic pens - E50, E31, E11, E35, E57, E79, YR04, YR07 and R46
  • Distress markers - crushed olive, antique linen and tumbled glass
  • Distress oxides - antique linen, tumbled glass and peacock feathers
  • Spectrum Noir Midas ink - blush
  • matt black card
  • turquoise core'dinations
  • matt silver mirri

I added some glossy accents to the balloon and cat's nose.

I had great fun making the background using the inks, stencils and stamps.

That's all from me today folks, take care and stay safe.

Floral spray

Good morning folks

Friday again and my last one before I head back into work. I spent a lovely day yesterday in the garden. I was able to go to the garden centre so was busy potting up my hanging baskets and pots. I am very pleased with how it all looks now.
Once again I have also been busy on-line shopping and here is a card I made with a couple of new purchases -
For this card I have used -
  • floral spray paper pad from Crafter's Companion
  • floral spray die set from Crafter's Companion
  • roaring 20s paper pad from Crafter's Companion
  • brown centura pearl
  • Gemini stitched edge circle 2 and scalloped edge circle 2 die sets
  • brown ribbon and pearls from my stash

A very simple card, quick and easy to make.

That's all from me today.

Unicorns and rainbows

Hello folks

How are we all doing? I was hoping for sunnier skies today but it was not to be so I am back in my little crafty haven getting ready to craftalong with Chloe this afternoon. She is fabulous at stamping and heat embossing and I am not so I have been crafting along for the last two weeks to improve my heat embossing techniques. I will hopefully be able to show you the results soon (when I am happy with them that is).
In the meantime here are some little cards I made this weekend with some new stamps and papers from CC Designs -
Well and truly in my comfort zone with this trio. The stamp set is called funny unicorn by CC Designs which I coloured with my Copic pens -
  • unicorns - C00, C1, C3, C5, C9 and 100
  • tail and mane - Y15, Y19, V15 and V17
  • heart - R46 and R59
  • ground - T3 and T7
  • sky B000

This is a 4 inch square card.
For these cards I have also used -
  • white centura pearl (for the card bases)
  • scraps of core'dinations cardstock
  • rainbow paper pad from CC Designs
  • MFT wonky stitched squares die set and stitched circles die set

The second two cards are 5x5 and the sentiments are from the stamp set. I edged the sentiments with Copic pens to match the core'dinations card I had used.

That's all from me today folks. Enjoy your day.

Happy Valentine's day

Good morning

Yes I know I am a little late with this card but I seem to have forgotten to post a whole bunch of cards. Some of them will not be posted because the photos are awful and the cards have already gone to their recipients but I rescued this one from my hubby so I could share it with you.
This cute little stamp is called Valentine cats by Gerda Steiner which I coloured with my Copic pens -

  • hearts - R35, R27, R59, R46 and a white gel pen
  • cat - C00, C1, C3, C7 and R81
  • sky - BG0000

I have also used -

  • white linen card
  • stamping card
  • fluttering hearts coverplate die from Honey Bee stamps
  • wild honey and festive berries Distress inks
  • Gemini stitched edge oval 2 die set

I used the stamping card and the Distress inks to make the background and then attached the die cut over the top with glue gel to add depth.

That's all from me today folks, thanks for stopping by.
Stay safe  alert!!

Dare to dream

Hello folks

Hope you are all keeping well and managing ok during lockdown. I think that crafting is my saviour at the moment. I can lose hours in my little crafty haven playing with all my stuff. I have even discovered things I never knew I had 😂😂😂 so I have been having a great time. It is almost as if I have been planning for this for years 😜.
I made this card after finishing all my Easter cards with some scraps of Graphic 45 papers I had left (couldn't possibly throw them away).
For this card I have used -
  • ivory centura pearl
  • Botanical tea paper pad from Graphic 45
  • Dare to dream sentiment stamp from Crafter's Companion
  • cream seam binding and pearls from my stash
  • Gemini stitched edge ovals 2 die set

The postcards came in the paper pad. I used foam pads to attached them to the card to add a little dimension.
The sentiment stamp is one I found again........

That's all from me today.
Take care and stay safe
