Double trouble

 Good Sunday morning to you all

Well yesterday didn't go quite as planned as I over slept and didn't get time to myself until it was dark so no gardening done yesterday. Hopefully today will be slightly better and I can get out there.

I have two cards for you today - 

Both of these are made using Crafter's Companion's expression dies. These are becoming a firm favourite for those tricky male cards.
For this card I used -

  • scraps of card and mirri card

  • Chloe's Creative cards circle die set

Hap Bee Birthday

 Good morning

So pleased it is the weekend. Plus the promise of some lovely weather. I plan to make the most of it. Some garden time with a sprinkling of crafting I think.

Here is today's crafty creation -

I had great fun playing with this triple easel card. Took a couple of attempts to get it right but I am pleased with the final result.
For this card I have used -

  • white stamping card
  • matt black card
  • Gemini triple easel hexagon die set
  • Harmony water reactive inks - honey pot, straw bale and lemon tonic
  • Harmony quick dry ink - honey pot
  • Woodware stamps - Bee happy and Sweet honey bee
  • Spectrum Noir sparkle pens - golden sun and sterling silver

It even folds flat for posting -

My first journal page

 Hello folks

For Christmas I was given a sketch book so this year I am starting art journaling and here is my first page - 

This main image is from Aall & Create's Steampunk Alchemist stamp set which I have coloured with my Spectrum Noir pens and Illustrator pens- 
  • bottles and jars - AB1, AB2, AB3, GB6, GB7, GB10, DG2, DG3 and DG4
  • lightbulbs - GB1, GB2, GB3, BG4, BG6 and BG8
  • alchemist - FS3, FS9, TN2, GB7, GB10, GB11, BG4, BG6, BG8, EB5, EB7, EB8, IG1, IG2 and IG8
For the background I have used - 
  • white stamping card and matt black card
  • Distress Oxides - frayed burlap, fossilized amber, speckled egg, gathered twigs and antique linen
  • Aall & Create stencils - hugely hexagons and weathered tiles
  • Aall & Create stamps - toxic warning and steampunk alchemist
  • words from Sheena Douglass' alchemy - learn to see stamp set
I began with a piece of card I had used to mop up my craft mat and then worked on that, adding images from the stamp sets and stencils.

Valentine Gnome

 Good morning

How are we all? Today finds me back in my craftroom trying to reorganise my stash. I am struggling to fit everything in!! I never seem to have enough space. I think it maybe time to actually have a clear out!

As far as my crafting is going there is definitely a theme going on. I wonder if you can guess what it is? This is the card I made for the hubby's Valentine's day - 

This is yet another of Francois Reed's gnome stamps called Valentine gnome which I have paper pieced and coloured with my Spectrum Noir pens and Triblends - 

  • GY blend, FS blend, IG blend, BG blend, IB1 and GY5
I have also used - 

  • Kraft card
  • country lady and country gent paper pads from LOTV
  • rainbow gems

Three little gnomes

 Good morning

Ahh ........ the start of half term, finally. I am looking forward to six days of r and r plus one day at work getting ready for the next half term. I am hoping to get some serious crafting done too. I feel my little crafty haven has been some what neglected recently.

Here is today's offering - 

This is another of Francoise Reed's gnome stamps called 3 gnomes which I have paper pieced and coloured using my Spectrum Noir pens and Triblends -

I have two cards for you today made using the same die set but different cardstock.

As you can see same die but completely different card.

Another little dragon

 Good morning 

What a wet, cold and miserable morning here in the North West. I am looking forward to spring. In the garden over the weekend I noticed that the snowdrops were just beginning to flower which is a sure sign that spring is on it's way.

Here is today's card - 

This is another Lee Holland stamp called Hello to you which I coloured with my Spectrum Noir pens and Triblend pens - 
  • dragon - BG blend, BG shades, PP blend, PP shades and BG10
  • balloon - PP shades and a white gel pen
  • sky - IB1
  • ground - PP blend and IG blend
I have also used - 
  • baby pink centura pearl
  • bloom and wonder paper pad from First Edition
  • gems from my stash
