Schmetterling

 Good morning

I hope this Monday morning finds you well.

A quick card for you today featuring the statement butterfly from Crafter's Companion.

For this card I have used -

  • white stamping card
  • fuchsia centura pearl for the card base
  • brushed silver mirri
  • Crafter's Companion butterflies in flight stamp set
  • Harmony quick dry ink pads - fuchsia, parakeet and honey pot

Another manly moment

Good morning from a very wet and miserable Manchester.

A quick card to show you today. I have been having fun making different card folds and here is another one -

This is a different take on a zed fold card and to make it I have used -

  • white centura pearl for the card base
  • brushed gold mirri
  • Hunkydory's manly moments Adorable Scorable card block
  • Hunkydory's Little book of manly moments
  • Die'sire celebration words set 1 and 2
I used several pages from the little book to decoupage the image.

That's all from me today. A trip to the post office and some housework to do today before I can get back into my craftroom.

Have a good day

And now for something a little different

 Good morning folks

I have had this particular kit in my craft stash for a long time but have always been afraid to use it. I have watched countless You Tube videos and craft demonstrations but have always been afraid to just "have a go". However after a craftroom sort out I thought to myself that it was "use it or lose it" time so I decided to jump in and have a go. This is the result ...... (it's a bit photo heavy)

I was quite pleased with the result although there are a few things I would change for next time, not use embossing powder around the edge for one, and I think I would do another one in the future.
Here is what I used for my plaque -
  • That's Crafty surfaces - MDF round with inchies, twinchies and dominoes
  • That's Crafty small elements stamp set number 4
  • That's Crafty surfaces - Craftyboard - bees and keys and lace borders
  • Provencal peony stamp from Sara's Signature collection - Parisian collection
  • Sara's Signature collection - Shabby chic - paper pad
  • PaterArtsy fresco finish chalk paints - pixie dust and blue bayou
  • Pebeo empire gold gilding wax
  • Wow rich gold metallic embossing powder

I used some of the inchies, twinchies and dominoes as single layer embellishments and others as double or even triple layers.
I used the gilding wax to add colour to the MDF embellishments.

That's all from me today, thank you so much for stopping by.

Wedding anniversary gnomes

 Hello

It is another Bank holiday here in the UK but the weather forecast is not good so I am indoors doing household chores and then some crafting. The rain is much needed as we haven't seen the usual rainfall for April and my garden is looking very parched so I shouldn't complain too much.

I have spent a lot of time crafting over the past few months but have been unable to show you the results for various reasons but now I can start to post what I have been doing -

The image is Gnome together from Polkadoodles which I have coloured with my Spectrum Noir pens and Triblend pens -
  • girl gnome - FS blend, FS2, PP blend, GT blend, CR blend and GB shades
  • boy gnome - FS blend, BG shades, GT blend, CR blend and IG blend
  • flowers - DG blend, CR blend and GT blend
  • ladybug - CR blend, BG shades and BG blend
  • ground - IG blend and IG1
  • sky - IB blend
I have also used -
  • white centura pearl for the card base
  • hearts and happiness paper pad from First Edition
  • silver centura pearl
  • Chloe's Creative cards 8x8 square dies
  • Woodware happy anniversary stamp
  • pearls from my stash
Thank you so much for stopping by today, have a good Bank holiday.
