Rainy day Tilda

Good morning folks

This weeks challenge at the Ribbon Girl is 'include stripes' and this is my card - 

I made a card base with Go Kreate XXL square frilly frame #2 which I matted and layered with some papers from Wild Rose's Annabelle's meadow paper pad. I then scored the base in half and folded to make the card base. I cut two Die'sire circle doilies from white centura pearl, added two circles of the papers to the centre of each doily and then added these to the card base.The stamp I have used is London Tilda and has been coloured with the following Promarkers - 

• skin - satin, blush, dusky pink and sunkissed pink
• hair - spice, burnt orange and burnt umber
• dress, bow and shoes - sky blue, azure, true blue, ice grey 1 and ice grey 2
• umbrella - umber and paper pieced
• rain and shadow - april showers

I cut the image out using Spellbinder's label 11 and inked whilst still in the die with tumbled glass distress ink. I then matted it onto a Spellbinder's decorative labels 8. I attached this to the card base. I stamped a sentiment from LOTV grungy everyday sentiments, cut it out, inked around the edges with tumbled glass distress ink and attached it to the corner of the card base.

To finish I added some blue, white and pink flowers and a wooden heart button all from The Ribbon Girl.

Christmas Purrdy

Good morning

Today's card uses the free CD from Crafter's Companion's latest Inspiration magazine and has been coloured according to the tutorial also in the magazine.

I made an easel card from a 8 inch card blank and matted and layered some of the papers printed from the free CD. I cut the image out using Die'sire's Elegance stamping frame and inked whilst still in the die with tumbled glass distress ink. I matted it onto the frame from this die set cut from gold mirriboard.

To create the stopper I stamped one of the sentiments from the stamp set and cut it out using the smaller die in the Elegance die set and matted it onto the frame from the same set cut again from gold mirriboard.

To finish I added some holly (cut using a Die'sire die), some dew drop and some red roses both from the Ribbon Girl.

Gingerbread man

Hello

This is today's card -

The image is from a CD which came free with the latest Crafter's Companion Inspirations magazine and has been coloured with the following Spectrum Noirs -

• gingerbread man - EB6, TN6 and TN3
• heart - DR7, DR5 and CR8

The magazine actually has a colouring tutorial inside which I have used to colour these gingerbread men. The layout is similar to one also in the magazine but I didn't have all the ingredients that they had used so I made a couple of alterations. I cut the gingerbread men out with scissors and inked around the edges with EB6 to remove any white edges. I ran a piece of red card through a snowflake Embossalicious embossing folder and then rubbed over some enchanted gold gilding wax. I cut a piece of Winter wonderland paper (from LOTV) with Die'sire lace border 6 and matted this along with the red card onto a piece of Kraft card. I added a piece of red gingham ribbon from my stash.

The sentiment is from a Daisy and Dandelion set which I stamped onto Kraft card, heat embossed with gold embossing powder and cut out using Spellbinder's label 11. I added this to the card along with a piece of holly (cut using a Die'sire die) and two hearts (cut using a Xcut die). I embossed the hearts using the snowflake embossing folder and rubbed over with enchanted gold gilding wax.

Good afternoon folks and a very happy Monday to you all.

This is today's card.

I made an easel card using Go Kreate XXL square frames frilly #2. I then matted and layered some of the papers from LOTV's winter wonderland paper pad using the smaller dies in this set. I added some cream lace and velvet ribbon from the Ribbon Girl. The image is from Crafter's Companion's SWALK Winter Cheer range and is called Love you.
I have coloured the image with the following Promarkers -

• boy's hair - burnt sienna, walnut and henna
• girl's hair - cinnamon, raw sienna and chestnut
• skin - almond, putty and dusky pink
• girl's coat - pine and holly
• boy's coat - ice grey 1, ice grey 2 and pastel blue
• girl's hat and boots - crimson, burgundy and shale
• boy's gloves and boots - pine and holly
• girl's skirt, gloves and bow - ice grey 1, ice grey 2 and pastel blue
• boy's trousers - crimson, burgundy and shale
• scarves - sandstone and caramel

I cut the image out using Spellbinder's Grand decorative circles and inked whilst still in the die with antique linen distress ink. I them matted the image onto a larger decorative circle cut from another paper from the winter wonderland paper pad.

To create the stopper I cut a piece of the paper with a Die'sire lace border 6 and added the same lace and velvet ribbon from the Ribbon Girl. I added this to the base with foam tape. I cut 2 poinsettias using a Spellbinders die and added then to the stopper. The sentiment is from the stamp set. To finish I added a piece of mistletoe cut using a Die'sire die and some cream pearls to the mistletoe and the poinsettias.

Say it with flowers

Hello

Today's card is the second commission card - 

The image is a decoupage one from Docrafts and the papers are also from Docrafts. I have had this in my stash fro a long time now - I do love the Forever Friends bears and cannot resist buying a new collection whenever Docrafts bring one out. I matted the image onto an oval cut from white centura pearl and a Spellbinder's nestie. I then cut a Spellbinder's floral oval from one of the papers and attached the oval and the image to it. 

I made the card base from white centura pearl and matted and layered some more of the papers. To make the border I used a piece of the paper and an EK success border punch and then I added a piece of pink ribbon from my stash.

The sentiment came with the decoupage set and I matted it onto a piece of paper.

 I added two flowers cut using Spellbinder's anemone flower topper and a number 4 peeloff to a smaller floral oval again cut from white centura pearl. To finish I added some silver gems to the centre of the flowers and to the die cut. I know it seems an odd image to put on a card with 4 on it but it was for a lady who was celebrating the anniversary of her business - which was 4 years old.

Girly pink

Good morning

A few weeks ago I received my first commission. I have made cards for my family to give to other people but this is the first time someone contacted me directly. I was thrilled. This is one of the cards I made - 

I made the card base from pink centura pearl and matted and layered with black card and a piece of pink spotty paper from First Edition bird cage paper pad. The image is from Creative Expressions and has been heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I cut it out and inked the edges with spun sugar distress ink. I then cut several sizes of the Spellbinder's Resplendent rectangles from black card, silver mirriboard and a paper from First edition bird cage paper pad and matted and layered the image as below -

I then stamped and heat embossed the word sister using Clarity Stamps letterbox kit, then cut it out and inked the edges with spun sugar distress ink. I added this to the top of the card.

I cut a flower from one of the papers using Spellbinder's Anemone flower topper and a couple of swirls from black card stock using Spellbinder's floral flourishes. I then added this to the corner of the card.

To finish I added a feather, some hat pins, a black dazzler and a small silver 40 peeloff - us girls do not always like to be reminded of our age do we?

A Christmas tag

Good morning

I made this tag using one of the free gifts from the new Crafter's Companion magazine -

I cut the tag using kraft card and Spellbinder's label 11. I cut a smaller label from core'dinations and embossed it using the free embossing folder. I then attached to the base. Then I added some frantage to the outer edge of the tag. I have never used this product before and I think it's going to take some practice. I managed to blow away most of the larger pieces before they could melt!! There was more on the floor than on my tag!!

I stamped one of the sentiments from the magazine onto kraft card and embossed it with white embossing powder. I then cut it out using labels 11 and then added frantage to the outer edge.

I then stamped and heat embossed the gingerbread man onto kraft card and cut it out. I added this to the tag. To finish I punched a hole in the top of the tag and added some ribbon.
