Three for ......

Good morning folks

What glorious weather we are having here in the UK but even the sunshine can have its hazards
(photo courtesy of CNN International website)
The moorlands around Manchester have been burning all week, travelling home from Preston on Tuesday evening was awful; roads closed (including the M62), the moon an eerie orange orb and choking smoke hanging over the city. A really horrible and dangerous situation; my thoughts are with those brave men and women who are trying to bring the fires under control. The fact that these are peat moorlands is only making the problem even worse. Although I love the sunshine I can't help thinking a bit of rain is now really necessary.

My crafting today is fairly straight forward and courtesy of Hunkydory's Milestones and Moments - Father's day card kit -

In addition to the card kit I have also used -
  • gold miri
  • Tattered Lace's love is in the air sentiments
That's all from me today. Enjoy your weekend

With love

Good Monday morning folks

What a glorious weekend we had here in the North West. A little overcast on Saturday but yesterday was just gorgeous. Stunning blue sky and wall to wall sunshine and it is looking promising for today too.
Today I am sharing an easel anniversary card with you -
For this card I have used -
  • cut, craft, create set 2 dies from Tattered Lace
  • red and black centura pearl from Crafter's Companion
  • love is in the air sentiments from Tattered Lace
  • black ribbon, sparkley thing (coloured with DR7 Spectrum Noir pen) and charm from my stash

A very quick and simple card to make, I just let the die do all the work.

Good morning

Well I made a complete hash of scheduling a post every day. For some reason (there is a numpty operating the laptop) I managed to post twice on Monday when one should have posted yesterday. Oh well let's try again!
Day 3 of the scheduling marathon and we have reached Wednesday - yeah hump day. One of my favourite days of the week; the worst part of the working week is behind me and the best part is still to come.

This little piggy

Good morning folks

I have made so many cards just recently but haven't posted them so I have decided this week to schedule a week's worth of posts to try and catch up with my blogging (and it delays the inevitable ironing!).
This is a card I made for my friend's 50th birthday -
The litle piggys come from MFT hog heaven stamp set which I have coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and Sparkle pens -
  • piggy - PP1, PP2 and PP4
  • cake - pink breeze Sparkle pen, EB1, EB2, DR5 and white gel pen
  • flowers - pink breeze and cosmos Sparkle pens, EB1, EB2 and CG3

I have also used -
  • MFT hog heaven die set
  • MFT blue prints 27 die set
  • pink glitter card from Crafter's Companion
  • matt black card
  • white centura pearl for the cardbase
  • ribbon and gem from my stash

I outlined the sentiments with Spectrum Noir true black pen.
That's all from me today. Thank you for stopping by.

Father's Day

Good morning folks and a very happy father's day to all those dads, daddys and grandads out there.

And so because of this special day here is the card I made for my dad -
For this card I have used -

  • Hunkydory little square book - Manly Moments
  • Manly Moments card pack from Hunkydory
  • gold mirri
  • Sara's signature collection - Just for men male sentiments die set

I used several sheets from the little book and created my own decoupage.
I cut the sentiment from gold mirri. I could have swore I had a Happy Father's Day die but could I find it? I searched high and low but cannot find it. Something that needs adding to my stash!

That's all from me today. Have a great Sunday whatever you are doing.

Capture the moment

Good morning

Monday again, I hope you had a great weekend. I spent most of my weekend in the garden enjoying the sunshine until rain stopped play on Sunday afternoon. And oh boy did it rain - probably for the best the garden was extremely dry and did need the rain, although my peony is now flattened on the ground when it was looking quite magnificent.
Ah well back to crafting...... and this is a card I made to celebrate my eldest son's birthday -
For this card I have used -
  • Die'sire Timepiece easel create a card
  • matt black card
  • gold mirri
  • Sheena's stamping card
  • Cosmic shimmer mist - old gold
  • Pixie powder - rich gold and peacock green
  • Capture the moment stamp set from Visible Image
  • metal button (free with a crafting magazine)

The sentiment is from the stamp set.
I created the background using the pixie powders and the Cosmic Shimmer mist.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge -
http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com - June challenge - anything goes

Thank you for stopping by today, enjoy your day.

Footballing Oliver

Hello folks

I have not posted for such a long time! Unfortunately I had an accident and damaged my back so have been laid up in bed for the last two weeks. After lots of pain relief and some physio I am up and about and back to work today. Hopefully I will survive the week although sitting on chairs designed for small children is completely out of the question; if I sit in one of those I may never get up again!!
This is a card I made a while ago. I didn't make it for anyone in particular, just to practice my colouring.
For this card I have used Oliver football stamp from LOTV which I have coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and Copic pens -

  • skin - E000, E00 and TN2
  • hair - TN4, TN7, TN8 and EB8
  • clothes - IG1, IG2, IG3, IG4, IG5, IG7, DR6 and DR7
  • bag - IG1, IG8, IG10 and true black
  • ball - IG1, IG4 and IG5
  • ground - BG1 and BG3
  • sky - IB1

I have also used -

  • kraft card
  • Just for men paper pad from Crafter's Companion
  • bakers twine from my stash
  • LOTV teenage boy sentiments

Thank you for stopping by today.
