Daisy bird

Hello folks

Today I am sharing another card made with an image I coloured whilst on my holibobs in Scotland. It was a little bit of a challenge to only use one set of pens. At home I tend to use as many markers as I can but there was no way my hubby would allow me to take all of those on holiday!!
I have used Woodware's Daisy bird stamp which I coloured with my Triblend pens from Spectrum Noir -
  • bird - light yellow blend, blue turquoise blend and lavender blend
  • flowers - true blue blend, citrus green blend and light yellow blend
  • grass - citrus green blend
  • sky - ice blue blend

For this card I have also used -
  • LOTV's promises paper pad and promises solids paper pad
  • matt black card
  • white centura pearl (for the card base)
  • sentiment from Woodware's Special bird stamp set
  • ribbon and gem from my stash

That's all from me today, thank you for stopping by.

  • shoes, tights and bows - BV00, BV02, BV08, R46, R59 and V99

Sparkly 18th birthday

Good morning folks

My daughter celebrated her 18th birthday a few weeks ago and this is the card I made for her -
I have used some new stamps from a company called That's Crafty. Bunny and grunge flowers are both coloured with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens -
  • moonstone, blue topaz, iced denim, sterling silver and crystal clear

I also used -

  • matt black card
  • Sheena's stamping card
  • moonstone Spectrum Noir sparkle ink
  • Harmony inks - midnight and ocean blue
  • That's Crafty stencil - circles
  • Gemini expressions numbers 1 and 8 die and stencil
  • pearls from my stash

Christmas bits and bobs

Good morning

Yes I am back from Scotland - the weather was very mixed but we had a great time. I can heartly recommend a visit to the Scottish borders if you are up that way.
Today I am sharing some Christmas cards. Whenever I visit Inspirations in Preston they give me a free gift with my purchases which I carefully put into a box and leave them there. So I challenged myself to open this box (well I was struggling to get it to closed at the time) and use some of its contents. Here are some of the cards I made -

For all these cards I used -
  • toppers from Hunkydory
  • gold and silver mirri
  • red Adorable Scorable
  • patterned card from Hunkydory
  • a Sheena Douglass Christmas words embossing folder
  • Gemini Christmas sentiment dies
  • variety of gems from my stash
Now I can shut the box (kind of) and have more Christmas cards to add to my stash.

That's all from me now; today I will be catching up with my laundry and trying to get organised to go to Florence tomorrow morning. My Hubby is whisking me away on a little holiday to celebrate a special wedding anniversary.

Sparkly flowers

Good morning folks

Today you find me on the road to Scotland for a weeks holiday with the family. Fingers crossed for some dry weather - doesn't need to be hot just dry so we can get out and about.
Today's card is a new style for me -
I love watching Chloe (from Chloe's cards) creating her magic and although I have a couple of her stamps I haven't really gone down the full sparkly Chloe route with them. So I decided to give it a go. Not sure if I heated the embossing powder too much or not enough but it just didn't seem to sparkle as much as it did on the TV. Need to practice a wee bit more me thinks.
For this card I have used -

  • white and lilac centura pearl
  • Sheena's stamping card
  • Neenah card
  • Stamps by Chloe - fabulous flower corner, fabulous flowers and fabulous flowers verse (for the insert)
  • violet speckle WOW embossing powder
  • gems from my stash

I stamped and embossed the flowers onto Neenah card, cut them out and then decoupaged them onto the base stamp.

That's all from me today. I will be quiet for the next few weeks but will be back towards the end of the month with more crafty makes. Thank you for stopping by.
