Wishing on a star

How are you all this Monday morning? Well I hope. 

The challenge this month at Crafter's Companion is embossing and this is my card for the challenge - 

  The image is from the Mulberry Wood range and is called Wish upon a star. I have decided to go with a monotone colour scheme so I coloured the image with the following Spectrum Noirs - 

• owls, stars and leaves - GG1, GG2, GG3, GG4 and GG5
• tree - BGR1, BGR2, BGR3, BGR4 and BGR5
• hat and stockings - DR2, DR4 and DR6

Then I added some glitter to the snow, snowflakes, the stockings and the hat. I matted the image onto a piece of silver mirriboard. I then embossed a piece of black magic centura pearl with a snowflake Embossalicious embossing folder and sanded it back to reveal the white core. I then took a piece of white centura pearl and embossed it with the snowflake embossing folder and matted it onto a piece of silver mirriboard. I added this to the centre of the card. I then cut some snowflakes from white centura pearl using a Die'sire snowflake die. I added one to the top corner of the card and then put the image in the centre of the card using foam pads for dimension. I layered two snowflakes on top of each other and added them to the card using a foam pad. To finish I added some silver gems to the snowflakes.
