Birthday wishes

Hello folks

Sorry for my absence but my cough and temperature has developed into a chest infection. And after struggling into work for the last 2 days I have decided to give in and rest up for a day or so. I am on antibiotics so hopefully everything will get back to normal soon.

Today's card is one I made for my children to send to their brother on his birthday -

 I made the rosette myself. This is the first one I have ever made and I am very pleased with it. I watched a video on You-tube and then off I went.

Inky background

Hello folks

A little late with my post today. I had a very early appointment with my cat and the vet and then a food shopping trip todo. Now, however the day is my own so I am pottering about in my craftroom. 

Today's card is the result of playing with the freebies which came with issue 21 Crafter's Inspiration magazine. I used some of the articles in the magazine to inspire me too - 

For this card I have used -

• picked raspberry, peacock feathers and fossilized amber distress inks
• Imaginations Crafts stencil from issue 21 Crafter's Inspiration magazing
• white centura pearl (for the card base)

I love this stencil and having been busy playing with it along with my inks and texture pastes.

Golden butterflies

Good morning folks

Well the bugs got me in the end - hacking cough and a sore throat but I am determined to enjoy my holiday. I have a few things planned - if this glorious weather keeps up I intend to spend some time in the garden, I need a hair cut and my youngest 2 and myself are planning a shopping trip.
Today's card is one I made for my god-daughter's 15th birthday - 

For this card I have used - 

• matt black card
• precious golds metallic centura pearl
• Die-sire create a card delicate wings die
• Gemini Happy Birthday sentiment die
• gold ribbon and black pearls from my stash
• flutterby butterfly embossing folder from Crafter's Companion

I cut the delicate wings die from matt black card to create the card base and then from two shades of the centura pearl. I fussy cut the butterflies and then attached then to the black card base.

Valentine's owls

Good morning

     Are we all well? My last working day before half term - hooray!! I am trying to dodge the germs at the moment; we have had a lot of cases of chicken pox over the last term and lots of coughs and colds which I have so far managed to avoid. I am hoping to have a illness free week off - fingers crossed.
      I am sending you all a little love today. I made this card to send to my hubby but made a different one which I liked more so I sent him that one instead.

Happy Valentine's day. Have you been shown the love? So far I haven't but the day is still young.

Sew lovely

Good morning folks

Well I had a great time on Saturday at the cinema, the film was definitely worth the freezing walk. We saw Bohemian Rhapsody - a little late to the party I know but what a fabulous film. The actor playing the lead role was amazing - he was Freddie Mercury. If you get the chance see it.

The weather has warmed up too so it will be a much easier commute this morning.

Brrrrr baby it's cold outside

Good afternoon folks

Well our snow has nearly disappeared and we are left with a beautiful day - blue skies and sunshine but blimey it is cold! I did intend to spend the day inside but we have decided to brave the cold and head off to the cinema this afternoon. 

Today's card is another I made just for the fun of it -
