The return of Christmas

 Hello folks

I know I'm sorry but we are going back to Christmas today. I have been very busy over the summer and most of what I have made are festive.

This card features one of my favourite stamps that I purchased this year. Be prepared to see a lot of this little fellow!

This is a Woodware stamp called Gnome wishes which I have coloured with Spectrum Noir original pens and Triblend pens -
  • nose and hands - FS blend and TN2
  • clothes - DR blend, CG blend, IG blend and IG1
  • shoes - EB shades
  • beard - IG blend
  • heart - DR blend
  • holly - DR blend and DG blend
  • ground - BG blend
  • sky - IB1
I have also used -

  • red cardstock
  • clear glitter
  • red pearls
I have kept the card simple and flat to keep postage costs down.
That's all from me today. Thank you for stopping by.

Take flight

 Good afternoon everyone

A bit late posting today - had to do more of those dreaded household chores. Ironing this time, absolutely my most hated task but it is done now so I can get back to crafting. Hooray.

This is a card I made for my daughter's birthday -

I had a fabulous time playing with all my stamps. stencils and inks and learning a new technique.

For this card I have used -

  • white centura pearl for the card base
  • white stamping card
  • black core'dinations
  • AALL & Create stencils - lotza trianglz and totally triangular
  • AALL & Create stamps - take flight, background noise, bold alpha minis, party with me and fly
  • Copics pens - E51, E21, E11, R35, R46 and R59
  • Distress oxides - fossilized amber, worn lipstick and broken china
  • Distress inks - fossilized amber, worn lipstick and broken china
  • Versafine Claire black ink
On the stamp set you only get one of the butterfly's wings so I learnt how to use acetate to reverse the stamp. As you can see from the photos one of the wings is a little lighter than the other. This is the print taken from the acetate. It isn't perfect but it is something I will work on.
A close up of some of the background detail.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Shakers

Good morning

Today I am sharing more of my Christmas marathon cards but these are a little different -

The first two cards are shaker cards and the last one is a DL card. I have only made one shaker card before which wasn't overly successful but I read a tip about using your anti-static bag on your acetate before adding your sequins and making a completely sealed shaker before adding it to the card. These tips have worked and I am much happier with the results.

This is an 8 inch square card.
And this is a 7 inch square card.
For this set of cards I have used -
  • Hunkydory's winter wishes - shining bright
  • silver mirri
  • construction acetate from Hunkydory
  • sequins, gems and ribbons from my stash
And finally a DL card to use up the 'scraps'.

Thank you for stopping by today

Seasonal gnome

 Good afternoon folks

On this very, very hot day here in Manchester (UK) I thought I would cool things down a bit and share one of my festive cards. When I went on holiday I took my Triblend pens and plenty of stamped images so I was able to get a headstart with my Christmas cards. Since being home I have made them into cards and this is one of them .......

The stamp is a new one (lockdown and the internet are a dangerous combination!!) called seasonal gnome from Woodware which I have coloured with my Triblend pens, Illustrators and original Spectrum Noir pens -

  • skin - FS blend and TN2
  • clothes - DR blend, CG blend, IG blend, IG1 and TN blend
  • holly - DG blend and DR blend
  • beard - IG blend
  • candle - EB blend, CT blend, OR3 and GB5
  • present - CT blend, GB5 and DR blend
  • ground - BG1, BG2 and BG3
  • sky - IB1
I have also used -

  • red  card
  • gems and glitter from my stash
  • white 5x7 card base
I am trying to keep those cards I am going to post small and with not too many layers so this one is quite simple but I am very pleased with the result. Sometimes I have to tell myself less is more ...

Thank you for stopping by today. If you are in the middle of a heatwave too stay cool and safe.
