A little bit floral

Hello folks

My laptop lives............ Hooray!!!!!!!

And now there will be a deluge of posts.

A few weeks ago I made some more cards for the Spectrum Noir TV design team using some of Sheena's stamps from the A little bit sketchy range and A little bit floral range. There were made for some shows in Germany.
This card uses A little bit floral - Iris -
I coloured the image with the following Spectrum Aquas -
  • purple. sunflower and bud green
By using a little or a lot of water I was able to get the shading of each colour.
As the images are so beautiful I kept the card clean and simple. The other ingredients I used were -
  • centura pearl (to make the card base)
  • purple core'dinations and white hammered card
  • swirls embossing folder (from Crafter's Companion)
  • Die'sire decorative frames 4
  •  sentiment (free with the Inspirations magazine)

Hello

Hello folks
Just a quick post to keep you updated about my lack of posts recently.
Unfortunately my little laptop where I keep all my photos, after recently being resurrected has taken a turn for the worse again. The mouse has decided to leave the party and even the external is feeling unwell. I have left it in the capable hands of my hubby but he doesn't seem to understand the need for speed at this time.
So I am writing this post on my work ipad whilst waiting for my middle son to come home after his after prom party. It is now 3am and still no sign of him, and on a school night too - how rude! He seems unaware that I need my beauty sleep at my age. The lack of my laptop also means I haven't been able to pop his photos on Facebook - most annoying!
Well I'd better go and try to get some sleep.
Good night
Lesley.

Lady and the dragon

Hello Folks

Today I am off to the zoo with 90 year one children (not on my own I hasten to add!!) so I am hoping the sun is going to shine, well if not shine at least stay dry.
Today's card is one I made for my eldest sons recent birthday.
I used my Flights of Fantasy CD from Crafter's Companion. My son is a big fan of Game of Thrones and the Hobbit so I thought this would be perfect.
I cut the second copy of the image out and decoupaged her onto the base image just to give the card a little dimension.
The card is a shutter card cut from Kraft card. I have made a template for this style of card in the past but I have been struggling to get it to lie flat. After several ruined card bases I decided to treat myself to the Tattered Lace shutter card die - what a difference, one cut and a little scoring and it was done. Will have to make loads of these to recoup the cost tho!!
The other ingredients used were -

  • image and papers from Flights of Fantasy CD
  • Kraft card and red and black core'dinations
  • Tattered Lace shutter card die
  • Die'sire Happy Birthday die

I cut the sentiment twice and shadowed the black one behind the red.

  • flowers - moss, scarlet amber, yellow, sunflower and gold
  • table - charcoal
  • sky - slate
The other ingredients I used were as follows -
