  • sentiment from LOTV's Christmas wishes stamp set
  • Adirondack ink - lettuce and expresso
  • Memento ink - cottage ivy and black tuxedo
  • Distress Ink - fired brick
  • Hunkydory diamond sparkles - festive gold
  • Wow embossing powder - amber rose
  • red card
  • gold mirriboard
  • Sheena's holly embossing folder
  • Pebeo gold gilding wax
  Our sponsor this week is

Anniversary congratulations

Good morning

This is a card I made for my sister-in-laws wedding anniversary -
I made the card base using Tonic's Petunia trellis die set and then decorated it.
Ingredients -

  • white and lilac centura pearl card
  • silver mirriboard
  • Tonic's Petunia trellis die set, Delicate daisy die set (for the flowers) and Royal fern die set
  • Happy Anniversary stamp ( from Hobbycraft I think)
  • Creative Expressions white embossing powder
  • gems from my stash

I made the flowers using some scraps which I fussy cut. I think they were First Edition papers but I am not sure from which pad.
I lot of die cutting but a very simple card to construct and very effective. Love my dies, they make me look better than I am on many occasions.

Thank you so much for stopping by

Evergreen boughs

Hello folks

This is the last of my design team cards made for Sheena's recent shows in Germany.
I stamped the poinsettia with twinkle embossing powder onto watercolour card and added a little shading with slate Spectrum Aqua. I then coloured directly onto the stamps with my Spectrum Aquas and stamped onto watercolour card. I dragged the colour out a little with a damp paint brush and then added a little glitter to the edges of the pinecones.
I used the following Spectrum Aquas -

  • poinsettia - slate (added just to the centre of the petals)
  • boughs - moss and evergreen
  • pinecones - chestnut, sepia and boulder

I made the background by scribbling onto a glass mat with kingfisher, charcoal and jasmine Spectrum Aquas, spritzing with water and then blotting with a piece of watercolour card. I then embossed the card with Sheena's evergreen embossing folder, sanded it back a little and then rubbed on some Pebeo silver gilding wax.
The other ingredients used were -

  • Yuletide greetings and perfect poinsettia stamp sets from Sheena's Perfect Partners Christmas range
  • Christmas foliage and poinsettia die set from Sheena's Perfect Partners Christmas range
  • watercolour card
  • white and silver centura pearl
  • twinkle embossing powder
  • evergreen embossing folder from Sheena Douglass
  • sliver Hunkydory glitter
  • Pebeo silver gilding wax
  • dazzler from the Hobby House

Christmas Foilage

Good evening folks

This is one of the samples that I made for some shows in Germany featuring Sheena's Christmas perfect partners Christmas stamp and die sets.
This card uses Yuletide greetings stamp set and Christmas foliage die set.
I began by making the background by scribbling kingfisher, jasmine and charcoal Spectrum Aquas onto a glass mat and spritzing with water. I then took a piece of watercolour card and "blotted" up then ink. The background piece on this card is the second "blotting".
I then stamped the evergreen boughs onto the background. I coloured directly onto the stamp with my Spectrum Aquas and then stamped them onto the background. I coloured the pine cones in a similar way but stamped them onto a separate piece of watercolour card and then using the dies cut and embossed them. I then pulled the colour out with a little water. To get the shading correct I removed some of the colour using water and a piece of kitchen paper. Using the same method I made the twigs.
The Spectrum Aquas I used were -

  • background - kingfisher, charcoal and jasmine
  • pine cones - boulder, sepia, chestnut and chocolate
  • twigs - chocolate and sepia
  • evergreen boughs - moss and evergreen

The other ingredients used were -

  • white centura pearl (for the card base)
  • silver centura pearl
  • teal core'dinations
  • snowflake embossing folder (from Crafter's Companion)

Well after six lazy weeks holiday it is back to work for me today. A gentle easing into this working lark with a training day - must try and stay awake!!
Today's card was made for a male friend's birthday and I cannot take the credit for the design - I found inspiration on the Pinterest website www.ihaveinkyfingers.blogspot.it.

  • craft metal
  • canvas embossing folder from Textures range from Crafter's Companion
  • Spellbinder's creative cogs embossing folder
  • black soot distress ink
  • Spellbinder's sentiments 3 die

I sanded the craft metal a little and rubbed some inks over it to distress it slightly.
