A Country Life - Flowers in bloom

Hello folks

Two posts in one day, I am spoiling you!! I wanted to remind you that Fiona is back with the pick of the week today at 12pm on Create and Craft TV. I do hope you can join her.

This is another of the cards I made for the launch -
Quite a different feel to this card although I still used my Spectrum Aquas to colour the image -

  • crimson, burgundy, aquamarine and evergreen

The other ingredients were -

  • matt black card (for the card base), Sheena's stamping card (for the background) and green core'dinations
  • rose garden embossing folder
  • Pebeo renaissance gold gilding wax
  • Die'sire edgeables Lattice Flourish die (free with issue 8 of the Inspirations magazine)
  • black pearls from my stash

To make the background paper I scribbled crimson and burgundy Aquas onto my glass cutting machin, spritzed it with water and mopped up the ink with a piece of Sheena's stamping card. Once the card was dry I embossed it and added some gilding wax.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Lesley

These hearts are the waste from the heart doilies die set which I coloured with my crystal clear sparkle pen.

So why not pop over to the Fantasy Stampers blog and join in the fun this fortnight.

A Country Life - Summer Garden

Good morning folks,

Well I know I have been very quiet lately and this time it has nothing to do with Family illness, thank goodness. Last weekend our Broadband box broke beyond repair. It was the end of the world as we know it (there's a song title in there!) according to my teenage children. Luckily the provider stepped inand a new box was delivered. So the world was saved from the brink of destruction!!

Now back to crafting. Today sees the launch of a new range from Crafter's Companion. It is A Country Life from Morgan Fitzsimons. It is very different from the last range by this artist and the CD has some beautiful toppers and papers. For my card I have used one of the rubber stamps from the range called Summer Garden.
The style of this range is very soft so I decided to use my Spectrum Aquas to colour the image -
  • scarlet, marigold, chestnut, evergreen and aquamarine

I stamped my image onto watercolour card and used a paintbrush to apply the colour.
The other ingredients used were -
  • ivory centura pearl and pink core'dinations
  • flutterby butterfly embossing folder
  • Toinc layering circles
  • Die'sire create-a-card Beatrice
  • Die'sire essentials scalloped rectangles

One of the sentiments from the die set.

So why not join Fiona on Create and Craft TV. The show times

I would just like to say a big thank you for all your kind wishes for my hubby. Unfortunately he had to spend another day in A and E at the weekend and after extensive tests the medics are still unable to pinpoint what the problem is. They are proposing more tests over the next few weeks to see what they can find. So I am afraid my crafting is on the backburner for the foreseeable future. I will continue to honour my DT commitments but I am afraid that my blogging will be a little hit and miss.

All about the boy

Hello and a very happy Saturday to you all

This is my first post for sometime. At Christmas I decided I would be a better blogger in 2016 and try and regain my initial enthusiasm for blogging but it is funny how life throws obstacles in your way to prevent you from keeping your promises even to yourself. Two weeks ago my hubby suffered a seizure and was rushed into hospital. As you can imagine crafting and blogging have not been my first priority over the last 2 weeks. Luckily my hubby is now ok and hopefully life will get back to normal again now.
Today sees the start of a new challenge at Fantasy Stampers. The challenge this fortnight is .........

All about the boy.

The design team would love to see all your male projects but please remember we are a stamping challenge and the main focus of your project must be hand stamped. (No digi images please).
