Inkognito

Hello folks and welcome to my new followers,

Today is a Bank holiday in England which I will be spending the day getting ready for work tomorrow. Where did those 6 weeks go? I think I must be getting old. 6 weeks used to be a lifetime when I was younger but now it disappears in no time at all. Looking back I do think I spent a lot of time in my craft room due to the dodgy weather, watch it be fantastic in September!!
Today's card is one I made for a friend of my son.
It is a fairly simple card featuring a stamp from a company called Visible Image. The stamp is called Women Inkognito which I stamped and heat embossed.
The other ingredients used were -
  • Persian seam aurora embossing powder from Cosmic Shimmer
  • white hammer card
  • blue core'dinations
  • Spring embossing folder from Tattered Lace
  • tumbled glass distress ink
  • Spellbinder's ovals nestie and Grand decorative ovals die sets
  • ribbon from my stash
  • dazzler from the Hobby House

  • balloons - CR7, CR8, CR11, blender and 026
  • sky - IB1 and 065
The other ingredients used were -
  • cream centura peal
  • red Bazzil card stock
  • Tattered Lace stepper card die
  • hearts M-bossabilites embossing folder (from Spellbinders)
  • Spellbinder's vines of passion
  • ribbon and heart charm from The Ribbon Girl.

Some exciting news and the colour purple

Good morning folks

As the blog post suggests I have some news, some very exciting news. A few weeks ago the lovely Jan invited me to join the design team for Fantasy Stampers. I was surprised and very flattered and after a nano second of thought I said YES PLEASE.
This is my first card for the design team -
The new challenge is "The colour purple" so I chose to make a Christmas card. I know purple is an unusual colour for Christmas but I found this backing paper in my Christmas box and fell in love with it. I also knew which stamp to use too. I love this stamp from LOTV. She is lovely to colour and looks fantastic in which ever colour combo you choose to use. Oh, she is called Christmas candle by the way. I have checked the LOTV website but I cannot find her so I think she might have been retired now.
I have coloured her with my Spectrum Noir pens and pencils -
  • clothes - LV1, LV2, LV3, 081, IG1, IG2and 114
  • boots - EB3, EB6, EB8 and 098
  • skin - FS2, FS4, FS9 and 089
  • candle - EB1, CT1, CT2, CT4 and OR1
  • holly - DR5, DG3 and DG4
  • sky - IB1
The other ingredients used were -
  • white centura pearl
  • lilac paper from my stash (sorry no details it was just a loose single piece in my box)
  • white glitter card
  • LaLa Land Christmas tree die
  • Spellbinder's snowflakes view die set
  • Spellbinder's lacy ovals
  • LOTV hand written Christmas sentiments
  • tumbled glass and milled lavender distress ink
I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Neenah card and then cut it out in a banner shape. When I attached it to the card I curved it slightly.

I do hope that you will be able to join in the challenge at Fantasy Stampers. We would like to see all your purple projects but please remember your project must include a stamp. No digi stamps please.

Thank you stopping by.

A robin tag

Good morning folks

Another Romany Christmas sample for you today. I hope you were able to get a hold of the stamps and CD -
I had lots of bits and pieces let from my other samples so I decided to make a tag - waste not, want not I say. Apologies I have just realised I forgot to add the ribbon before taking its photo! Oops! I did add some ribbon before I sent it to CCHQ though.
I coloured the image with the following Spectrum Noirs, all from the core set of 72 pens -

  • CR8, CR10, CR11, GB10, EB4, EB8, EB1, EB2, GB5, CT4 and BT1

The other ingredients used were -

  • papers, ribbon and tag from the Romany Christmas CD
  • embellishments from the stamp set
  • black pearl from my stash

I made the tile and the button using stamps from the set which I coloured and then added glossy accents.

Romany Christmas tree

Good morning everyone

Today's card is another sample I made for the one day wonder TV shows on Create and Craft TV. Fiona will be on your screens today at 11am with lots of lovely demos.
This card features another of the stamp sets called Christmas Tree which I have coloured with the following Spectrum Noir pens -

  • DG3, JG6, EB5, EB8, CR8, CR10, CR11, EB1, EB2 and BT1

Other ingredients used -

  • white centura pearl (for the card base)
  • papers, insert and tag from the CD
  • sentiment from the stamp set
  • Die'sire elegance stamping frame die set

The tag is from the CD and I stamped and cut out the sentiment and glued it onto the tag before adding to the card at a jaunty angle.
I made the border by cutting a strip from another of the papers on the CD. The lace is printed onto the paper too. The texture of these papers is gorgeous.
As I made my own 7 inch square card base I needed to cover the join on the inside of the card so I printed an insert from the CD and attached to the inside of the card.

Don't forget to watch Fiona at 11am today on Create and Craft TV
