Home

Hello folks

I hope today finds you all well. I am frantically trying to get the remainder of the children's uniform bought and labelled so crafting is taking a back seat at the moment. I had tried to save some time by ordering lots of stuff off the internet but have had to return the majority of it - my kids have grown so much this summer!! So mega shop this morning and the bulk of the spending is done and dusted only shoes (2nd mortgage time) and specialist uniform to buy - hooray. I am now sitting in a darkened room trying to recover!!

Today's crafty make is not a card which makes a change for me. I saw this MDF sign at the Doncaster show and fell in love with it -
I hope you can see it okay - I must remember not to photograph a cream crafty make on a cream background.
Ingredients -
  • "home" MDF sign from Creative Expressions
  • Cosmic Shimmer matt chalk paint - honeysuckle
  • flowers from the Ribbon Girl
It has taken pride of place in my porch. Very pleased with how it turned out.

Photo retake -
Apologies for the messy background.

Thank you for stopping by today

Play time

Good afternoon everyone

Last week my parents in law came for a visit and as my mother in law is a crafter too we had a trip out to Preston to visit Inspirations (Card craft plus) and I treated myself to a few Christmas goodies -
I have seen Sheena using her embossing folders with black card and Pebeo gilding wax so I decided to have a go and here is the card I made with the finished embossed piece -
Ingredients -

  • matt black card from Crafter's Companion
  • gold centura pearl
  • Sheena's holly embossing folder
  • Pebeo gold gilding wax
  • Die'sire ivy and poinsettia die sets
  • Tattered Lace Merry Christmas sentiment die
A Tattered Lace sentiment. You can just see the embossing in the background.
The poinsettia.

A very simple Christmas. I think I'll try a silver and white combination next.

Remains of the collection

Hello and a very happy Saturday

Today I thought I would share the last 2 cards from the Hunkydory kit. I had a comment from Carol this week saying that the kit came free with a magazine last year, thank you Carol. I haven't spent much time in my craft room this week, with holiday laundry and visitors (my craft room has to double up as a guest room) there has been little opportunity to craft. I intend to make up for this today and tomorrow (my family are off to a Lego exhibition tomorrow so I have the day to myself).
Enough of the waffle onto the cards. Here is the first one -
Ingredients -

  • topper, papers and sentiment from the Hunkydory kit
  • ribbon from the Ribbon Girl
  • gems from my stash

And the ingredients for this card were -

  • topper, papers and sentiment from Hunkydory kit
  • ribbon from the Ribbon Girl
  • gems from my stash

I would like to enter one of these cards into the following challenge -
http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.co.uk - Week 324 - share your favourite colour - it has to be pink every time.
Thank you so much for stopping by day. Enjoy your weekend.

Pretty birthday flowers

Hello and a very happy Tuesday to you all

I have been very busy in my craftroom yesterday (my hubby took on the ironing marathon - thank goodness) but unfortunately I am unable to share them with you at the moment. So here is yet another card made with my Hunkydory kit. This is excellent value for money, I have made so many cards with it, and is beautiful quality. The local charity shop will be pleased!
Ingredients -

  • Hunkydory topper, sentiment and backing paper
  • silver mirriboard

I feel a bit of a fraud posting it, it was so simple to make.

Decoupaged topper
The sentiment

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Butterfly dreams

Happy Monday folks

Well the holiday washing is now complete, just the ironing marathon to start. I did get a little distracted in my craftroom yesterday (will show you more of that soon) so the ironing has had to wait but today is the day to roll up my sleeves and get it done.

Before I start though I thought I would share another Hunkydory make with you today -
Ingredients -

  • white centura pearl to make the card base
  • Die'sire Edge'ables butterfly dreams
  • silver gems from my stash
  • topper, ribbon, backing paper and sentiment from Hunkydory kit
  • silver mirriboard
Decoupaged topper
Sentiment from the kit

Well the ironing board is calling and I can't put it off any longer. Thank you for stopping by

Little notelets

Good Sunday morning everyone

A quick post today. We returned home from holiday late yesterday afternoon, the washing machine and tumble dryer are working overtime so I thought I would pop into my craft room and write a quick blog post.

Today's make is a set of notelets I made to sell in our local charity shop. I used a Hunkydory kit that has been in my stash for ages and I am sorry but I have no idea which kit it is.
Ingredients -
  • papers and toppers from Hunkydory
  • silver mirriboard
  • 4 inch square card blanks

That's all from me today. I now have to face the dreaded ironing but hopefully will find some time to get some crafting done.

Thanks for stopping by
