Rodeo Princess

Hello everyone, I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday.
I am writing this post in front of the TV watching Wimbledon - Nadal and a bloke called Kukushkin are playing a very exciting match so this post may take me a while.
I noticed the other day whilst looking at the Crafter's Companion website that they had released some new Scruffy Little Cat stamps and oops they just fell into my basket. Boy are they fabulous and I even got a free one too - woohooo!!!!!
Here is a card I made using the lovely Jessica stamp set -
I began by making a A5 card blank from pastel blue centura pearl and my trusty Ultimate Pro. I then matted and layered some blue heart paper and blue gingham paper (from my stash - very pleased with myself because I am still using up some of my stash albeit very slowly!) I cut a Spellbinder's Elegant labels 4 die cut from the heart paper and matted it onto the other papers. I added some lace and blue ribbon (from the Ribbon Girl) to the centre of the card.
As I said earlier the image is from Crafter's Companion's Scruffy Little Cat range and I called Jessica. I had great fun colouring her with the following Spectrum Noirs -
  • hair - GB9, EB6 and EB8
  • skin - TN2, TN5, TN7 and CR1
  • eyes - EB8
  • eyeshadow - JG1 and JG3
  • lips - CR7
  • clothes, hat and boots - TB1, TB2, TB4, BGR1, BGR3 and BGR4
  • cacti - DG2, DG4, CG2, PP1 and PP5
  • sky - IB1
  • ground - GB1 and GB3
I cut the image out using Spellbinder's labels 11, inked whilst still in the die with tumbled glass distress ink and then attached it to the card base with foam pads.
The sentiment is from the stamp set which I cut out using Spellbinder's Tranquil moments and inked whilst still in the die with tumbled glass distress ink. I attached it to the card base as shown.
To finish I added some blue pearls from the Hobby House.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge -

Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog.

PS Nadal won his match - hooray!!!
