Baby baby

Good morning everyone

Here is today's card -

The image and papers are from Docrafts New Arrival collection. I coloured the image with the following Promarkers -

  • little bear - sandstone, tan, blender pen and blossom
  • toy rabbit - baby pink, cocktail pink and blender pen
  • surround - pastel blue
I cut the image out and matted it onto a Spellbinder's lacy oval. I matted and layered a square from the paper pad onto pink centura pearl and added some lace and pink velvet ribbon (part of my prize from Crafty Little Fairies). I then layered the square onto a striped piece of paper from the paper pad. The sentiment is from the stamp set which I cut out using a circle nestie and inked whilst still in the die with spun sugar distress ink. I matted it onto a Spellbinder's Splendid circle. To finish I added some pink flowers (again from my prize) from the Ribbon Girl.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Christmas carol

Good evening everyone
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I have spent the day crafting and reorganising my craft room - I am not sure how it gets so very messy?!!

Today we are back to Christmas. This card uses a Woodware clear magic singles stamp which comes with an image and a sentiment. It is actually very good value for money.

I stamped the main image 3 times with cottage ivy Memento ink and coloured them with the following promarkers -
  • poinsettia - berry red and crimson
  • holly leaves - lush green and pine

I then decoupaged the poinsettia and the holly leaves. I cut the image out using Spellbinder's Romantic rectangles and inked whilst still in the die with crushed olive and peeled paint distress ink. I then stamped the sentiment again with cottage ivy Memento ink and cut out using a smaller romantic rectangle. Again I inked whilst still in the die with crushed olive and peeled paint distress ink. I rubbed a little gilding wax (enchanted gold) around the outer edge of both die cuts.

For the background I embossed a piece of green core'dinations with a Crafter's companion embossalicious music embossing folder. This is a 8 by 8 embossing folder and I sometimes find that I don't get an even emboss so I put a couple of extra sheets of copy paper through with the sandwich too. Be careful not to over stuff the sandwich or push it through your machine - it will break it!!!! I then sanded the design and rubbed a little gilding wax over the design.

To finish I cut 2 poinsettia flowers from red core'dinations using a Spellbinder's die and added some gold gems to the centre of the flowers and to the centre of the stamped image.

Thank you for stopping by.

Something a little different

Hello

Today's post is a little bit different. It is not a card but a tag -

I used white centura pearl and black card and the papers are from a Docrafts Forever friends paper pad.  I have also used the following Spellbinder's dies -
  • Grand labels 11
  • Labels 11
  • Jewel flowers and flourishes
It has been arranged as shown below -

The ribbon and bow are again from Docrafts Forever Friends.
Very quick and simple but adds something a little different to a gift bag.

Thanks for stopping by.

Anniversary wishes

Good morning

Today is my Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary and this is the card I made for them -

It started life as "I wonder what will happen if........?" and this is how it finished. I am really rather pleased with it. I took a 8 x 8 inch card blank and using the largest of the Grand decorative circles from Spellbinders ran it through my Grand Calibur. It took several attempts to get it to cut but it did in the end. I then scored and folded one of the sides in half and then added another grand decorative circles from white centura pearl which I inked whilst still in the die with broken china distress ink and then stuck it onto the folded part of the card to create an easel card.

I used a Hunkydory card kit which came free with Cardmaking and papercraft magazine for the decoupage and papers.I cut one of the second size of the decorative circles 1 from the papers, inked whilst still in the die with broken china distress ink and then cut the third size die from silver mirriboard. I then matted and layered and added the decoupage.

To create the base I cut another of the second size die from the papers, inked whilst still in the die with broken china distress ink and then layered onto the base. The sentiment is from Circular sentiments from Lili of the Valley which I cut out using the smallest Spellbinder's Stately circles and again inked whilst still in the die with broken china distress ink. I then cut the second size die from one of the papers, inked whilst still in the die and then cut the third size die out of silver mirriboard. I then matted and layered the sentiment and added it to the base with foam pads to create the stopper.

This card cannot be described as quick but I think it was well worth the effort. So congratulations to my parents on their anniversary and thank you for stopping by.

Snow Angel

Good evening everyone

The lovely ladies at Lili's little fairies have changed their challenge blog to Crafty Little Fairies. You can now use any image you like not just a Lili of the Valley image to enter their challenge. You can find them here or use the link at the side of this post.

Today's card uses another Lili of the Valley Christmas stamp and is called Snow Angel (ST467) -

It has been coloured with Promarkers as follows -

  • fur - ice grey 2, ice grey 4 and ice grey 5
  • coat and hat - red, poppy, berry red and gold
  • boots - lush green, pine and holly
  • scarf - bright green, forest green, sunflower and gold
The image has been cut out using Spellbinder's circle nestie and has been inked whilst still in the die with tumbled glass distress ink. I then added some stickles to the hat. The papers used are from my Christmas stash. I have matted and layered the image onto a grand decorative circle and positioned onto the card as shown.

To finish I have added some snowflakes cut using a Die'sire snowflake die and white centura pearl card. I then added some gold gems to the centre of the snowfllakes. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley Christmas handwritten sentiments set.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge -

Thank you for stopping by.

Congratulations

Hello

Today's card has been made for my mother and father in law's wedding anniversary -

I have used Spellbinder's label 29 and white centura pearl to make an easel card. I thought the die looked a little like a book so I have kept some of the matt and layering free so it resembles pages in a book. I scored the die in the centre of the layers to allow me to do this.

The papers are from First Edition Dreamcatcher paper pad and the flowers are from The Ribbon Girl.

A close up of the flowers used.

The sentiments have been printed off the computer, cut out using labels 29 and inked whilst still in the die with milled lavender distress ink.

Happy Anniversary Michael and Irene.

Thanks for stopping by.
