Football crazy

Hello and good Sunday morning to you. I am up and about early this morning as I have to collect my youngest from a sleepover. I think this should be changed to a stayover as not much sleeping goes on! It means a very grumpy 9 year old today - great!

This is the card I made for the party -
The birthday boy is a Manchester City fan hence the colours. I started with a 6 icnh card blank which I covered with pale blue core'dinations. I than cut a smaller piece of paper (from LOTV's Petal fresh paper pad) and inked around the edge with tumbled glass distress ink. The image is from LOTV and is called Super striker (ST309). It has been coloured with the following Spectrum Noirs -
  • skin - FS2, FS3, FS4 and PP2
  • hair - EB5, EB7 and EB8
  • shirt/shorts - TB1, TB2 and TB4
  • boots - FL3 and IG10
  • ball - IG10, IG8 and FL3
  • grass - CG2 and DG4
  • sky - IB1
I cut the image out using Spellbinder's Marvelous squares and inked whilst still in the die tumbled glass distress ink. I also inked around the outer edge of the die cut with the ink. The sentiment is from LOTV's Happy Circular sentiments (set8), cut out using a circle nestie and matted onto a blue faux nestie.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge -
