Lazy afternoon

Hello folks and a very happy Sunday to you all

The challenge over at Allsorts this week is 'a one layer card'. Jo would like to see cards made using one layer of card (not including the card base) which to me was a very tricky challenge - even if I make a CAS card I always matt and layer the images. So this required a little thought. Here is the card I made for the challenge -
I began by stamping Lazy Afternoon (ST005) from LOTV which I coloured with the following Promarkers -
  • skin - satin, blush and dusky pink
  • hair - burnt sienna
  • tree and grass - walnut, henna, lime twist and apple cider
  • clothes - sandstone, tan, caramel, burnt sienna, henna, ivory, pastel beige, khaki, grey squirrel and morning mist
  • newspaper - ivory and pastel beige
  • sky - pastel blue
I cut the image out using a Tonic's layering squares die and inked whilst still in the die with tumbled glass distress ink. I stamped a happy circular sentiment (from LOTV) in the top corner, masked it and then applied a little tumbled glass distress ink so it would appear to be layered onto the card.
I attached the square to a Kraftcard blank and then faux stitched around the edge of the square. To finish I added some brown bakers twine.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
