Urban blues

Good afternoon

I do hope this Saturday afternoon finds you all well and enjoying some down time. I have had a great week this week; first it was a 4 day week and secondly our eggs have hatched (at school). We had 18 eggs in total and now are the proud parents of 15 little chicks. The children have been so excited and have rushed into school every morning to see them. They are going on tour (around the rest of the school) this week before they head back to the farm a week on Monday where we got them. We would love to have them as school pets but unfortunately our school field and small wood is home to a fox family and we are not providing them with ready meals.
Now onto crafting. I made this card for my brother-in-law -
Some eagle eyed people will notice the resemblance to Wednesday's card; I did a background making afternoon!
For this card I have used -
  • watercolour card
  • black and petrol blue core'dinations
  • Spectrum Aqua markers - navy, marine, peacock blue and kingfisher
  • Sheena's A little bit sketchy stamp sets - under the bridge and concrete jungle
  • faded jeans distress ink
  • Sue Wilson's double stitched rectangles die set

The background was made by scribbling onto a glass mat, spritzing with water and then mopping up the ink with a piece of watercolour card.
That's all from me today, have a lovely weekend.

  1. Hi Lesley this is a stunning card I love all the details and the colour is perfect. How lovely to have chickens in school. We have four baby robins in a nest box in the garden. It is so lovely to see the parents popping backwards and forwards to feed them. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Hugs Jackie
