Patchwork bunnies

Good morning folks

A much cooler morning here today. Plus some rain too which will be good for the garden. I am off to visit my son in Preston today and may throw in a little retail theraphy at my favourite craft story😊

Today's card is another one made for a work colleague (the second one is a stash builder)

For these cards I have used - 

• white centura pearl (for the card bases)
• gold mirri
• Return to Patchwork forest - make a wish card kit from Hunkydory
• pink ribbon from my stash
• pink and gold gems from my stash

Right off to load the car with more of my son's stuff (he now has his own place so I am emptying my house of all his belongings. End of a era but I have to let him go sometime).

Good afternoon folks

Phew it's hot!! Yesterday was unbearable. It was too hot for the garden so I decided to go into my little craftroom. That was a disaster. The fan was essential but everything kept getting blown off my desk so I gave up and just sat in front of the fan reading a book instead. It is a little cooler today but still not good crafting weather.

In order to cool myself down a little I thought I would share some Christmas makes.

For these cards I have used - 

• white centura pearl (for the card bases)
• silver mirri
• blue Adorable Scorable
• Snowy season - deer winter wishes card kit from Hunkydory
• foiled snowflakes (I think these are from Hunkydory but I am not 100% certain)
• silver gems

Happy retirement

Good morning folks

A little late this morning but I had a bit of a lie-in as a reward for making it to the end of the school year in one piece if a little ragged around the edges. 

As always at the end of a school year we say goodbye to friends and colleagues who are off to pastures new. Our phase leader has retired after 30 years teaching at our school and this is the card I made to say goodbye -

• Milestones and moments happy retirement card kit from Hunkydory
• gold gems from my stash

A fairly simple card but an easel always adds that little bit extra.

It's a cats life

Hello folks

Hump day already and nearly the end of the school year. I can't believe I will be saying goodbye to these children already - where has this school year gone? Ah well it's a sign of old age I'm told.

I made this birthday card for my cat loving friend's birthday -

• It's a cats life card kit and insert
• brushed gold mirri
• red gems from my stash

Postcard from France

Good morning folks

I have been playing with my crafty stash this week. I wanted to avoid anything Christmas - after my Christmas marathon a few weeks ago I am all Christmased out.  A while ago I bought the new French collection of stamps and stencils from Crafter's Companion and made this - 

For background I have used - 

• Neenah desert storm card
• Carte postale 3D layering stencil
• Oh la, la, Postmark Paris and French lace stamp sets
• Imagination Crafts mixed media art stencil
• Harmony inks - seal brown, friar brown and sandstorm

For the main image I have used - 

• Neenah desert storm card
• French floral stamp
• expresso Adirondack ink (to stamp the main image)
• Harmony inks - seal brown, friar brown, sandstone, pinetree and grasshopper
• Spectrum Noir crystal clear Sparkle pen

I used the Sparkle pen to pick up the ink from my glass mat and then colour the image.

To complete the card I used - 

• Kraft card (for the card base) which I inked with seal brown Harmony ink
• Sue Wilson's double stitched rectangle die set
• lace, seam binding, printed seam binding and pearls from my stash

Birthday bear

Good morning folks

The end of another week and I have decided to post something different today - a birthday card - 

For this card I have used LOTV's little friends stamp set which I coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and Triblend pens - 

• bear - golden brown blend, GB8 and pale pink blend
• happy birthday - AB2 and AB3
• flower - AB1, AB2, AB3, EB1, EB2 and CG2
• grass - CG1, CG2 and DG2
• sky - VB1

I have also used - 

• kraft card
• Sara's signature collection - vintage tea party papers
• washi tape (I think it is one from a Sara's signature collection but I am not sure which one)
• Sue Wilson's double stitched rectangle die set
• LaLa Land heart banner die
• pearls from my stash

I trimmed the banner die down slightly to make it fit on the card.
