With love

Good morning folks

Today's card was a bit of an experiment. I like making 6x6 and 8x8 inch cards but this card is 5x5 inches. Then I thought I wonder if I have to put less on a smaller card? What do you think? -
I began by making a 5 inch square card blank from cream centura pearl and my trusty Ultimate Pro. I then embossed the front of the card with a Spellbinder's hearts embossing folder.
I then cut several Spellbinder's Marvellous squares from red card and some scraps of papers from my scrap box. I layered these up onto the card front with foam pads as shown.
The image is Penny Black's Hearts Away which I coloured with the following Spectrum Noir pens and pencils -
  • Hedgie - FS1, FS6, FS9, CR1, EB4, EB6, EB8, 098, 089 and 009
  • balloons - DR1, DR3, DR6 and 003
  • grass - DG2, DG3 and DG4
  • sky - IB1

I cut the image out with scissors and attached it to the card front with Pinflair.

I cut a sentiment using Spellbinder's sentiments 2. I cut the sentiment twice and shadowed them and then attached it to the card as shown.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge -
http://pennyblackatallsorts.blogspot.co.uk - February challenge - anything goes
http://ribbongirls.blogspot.co.uk - romance

Thank you for stopping by

  1. The layering is very effective Lesley and of course I love the B image.

Like you I tend to go larger as they like those for C&C, but I try to go smaller for my Animal Health Trust cards as it's a bit more cost effective but it's funny how it then become difficult working on a smaller area.

Lovely to see you at Penny Black and More challenge this month, thanks for joining in.
